Just a quick note, to say thankyou for getting the brooches done so quickly. They are beautiful! Everyone was most impressed by them at Festival. It is good to see someone doing making this stuff and selling it in Australia! I love the historical authenticity of your items, am most impressed. I will send your link to everyone I can think of.

Description
Snake-shaped bronze suspension loop decorated with ring-dots. Three of these rings were attached to a knife sheath found in chamber grave 944 at Birka, which was also decorated with tinned sheet metal mounts. This type of long (~30 cm) single-edged fighting knife with a narrow blade was popular in Sweden and Russia in the tenth century.
